Proofreading

The proofreading process contains the mere correction of grammatical and spelling mistakes. Due to the nature of language and up to a certain point, a proofreader will always also take over a certain part of the editing process. However, the focus of this working step is on the correction of the above mentioned kind of faults.

Very often, the editing and proofreading processes take place in parallel and are therewith done by one and the same person. Nevertheless, a text may also be only proofread, for example, if its final version is already elaborated.
